I always liked the look of the winglets/dive planes on the 98 GT2 cars, and was wondering how they would look on my B/W. Instead of painting them to match the car, I wondered how they would look in carbon fiber instead (would match my CF wiper cowl).
So I got a pair from Tator (thanks Chuck) and starting to look into a company that would wrap them in real carbon fiber. I did not want the fake look you commonly see with the water printing process. I decided to go with MA Carbon, and man did they exceed my expectations! They can pretty much wrap (or mold if you like) anything you want as long as it is rigid. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have some interior pieces wrapped or made in carbon fiber. IMO, their work looks better than the factory pieces you find in the Porsche 996 etc. and they were a pleasure to deal with. I know it is a poser mod, but I could not resist. MAcarbon - Home

Nice Simms, Now my mind is doing the Einsten thing with the light bulb. I wonder what a center console would look like form them. Years ago several folks were trying to duplicate with little success. I still have one of the center consoles here and it has been nicely stored away.

Looks Great. I love the carbon fiber look. I had MA Carbon do a number of interior pieces on my Gallardo. They do a great job and are good to work with.

Man, the shift gate on that car looks like you have to schedule each gear change by appointment. Is that as obnoxious as it looks?

The first time I drove a car with a gated shifter I thought the same thing. Shifting with a gated shifter is just as easy as one without it. I don't even know it's there.

I am thinking about doing some interior parts - the trim around the door handle and possibly the upper section of the door.

I wonder how much it would cost to wrap all of the bodywork? Talk about the ultimate poser mod !!!

Hmmm maybe I need to enlist them for some spare wings and bodywork for my new toy.
![]() I need to have some larger front brake ducts made along with some adjustable front wing plates. How reasonable is their pricing? I was planning to make them myself in fiberglass but if I can have them in carbon the car will remain authentic. Rob |
