Default Time to by a GTS

I own an 03 SRT10 but I have always loved the GTS body. Over the past year I have watched the Viper market soften and I've decided it is time to buy a GTS. I am looking to buy a clean car and a "good value". Mileage and model year aren't as important as the car's condition. A perfect car would have stripes, 3.55 gears, an exhaust and be located in the Midwest. I have tried to reach out to some of the owners that have listed cars in the classified but they haven't responded. If you have a car that is close to what I am looking for, please pm me details. Thanks for reading. Doug

Are you keeping the SRT or selling it for the GTS?

I'm keeping the SRT10. I love the car but it just doesn't have the same "sex appeal" and the GTS. Thanks

Try BJ Motors. Bernie Katz can probably sniff one out for you.

Thanks! The reason I was asking is because I have been considering a SRT Vert and our cars look the same (silver with black wheels). I really want to keep the GTS, but financially can't swing 2 Vipers right now, so I had decided to wait until I could afford both. But if you were selling your SRT I was going to consider a trade. Good luck in your search!

I've found a nice red 97 with a few mods that is priced right. The only problem is that each side sill has a dime size area of corrosion. The areas are not visible when the hood is closed. One of the spots goes all the way through the sill. I've done a search and read about this problem and the proper repair. My questions are: 1. Can this really be permanently repaired so it won't come back? 2. How much worse will it get if I only change the fasteners now? 3. How much will it cost to repair. I don't want to get in a situation where I buy the car and then have an ongoing problem. Thanks for advise. Doug
