black with black stripes

I was doing a search on vinyl stripes and ran across a pic of a black viper with black stripes, when my laptop died and I cannot find the thread it was in. I have looked through search for quite awhile, even looked on google and cannot find! Does anyone know the car I am talking about? If you have a link or it is your car please let me know!

When you say your laptop "died", do you mean the battery, or the system? The reason I ask is, if you can access the system, then look at your history in the internet browser to find the site. If the 'puter died then your out of luck...

Thanks for the compliment! I just went to my local sign shop and ordered matte black vinyl stripes. I ordered two 8 inch wide strips. I think I ordered about 30 ft. of it at a 2 mil thickness though most say you should go with 3 mils for the added resistance to road debris and added ease of removal. I don't have issues with debris damage at all though. it is a PITA to install on the bumpers though. It's pretty cheap too.

That was actually my first choice of color/stripes on my '08. Prefix would do it, but that meant an extra 6-8 weeks and about $7,500.

How long did it take you to do the whole car? Did you order the stripes already spaced on the paper or did you have to space them yourself and how did you keep them straight? Looks good and straight from here! Any tips on bumper keeping straight? I know that they are the tough part.

I Ordered them already separated. I used the antennae in the windshield for the center marker on the hood. I also used the emblem on the front bumper and the center brake light on the rear. I worked on the car off and on for several days. As for keeping the bumper pieces straight I cheated. I cut them at the halfway point so I didn't have to do as much manipulation. There's a how to thread on here somewhere also.
