I have one of those keys. I can vouch and say they are very nice. I have no idea who made them because mine came with my Viper.

I have one that came with my viper but I use my keys and busted the loop of the top!!! I had to drill/tap for a tiny "eye" bolt. It's fine but I want a new one so I went to JonB.. Hope it's as good or better than the old one....
Way better than stock.... |

 Not the plastic-cheapies off flea-bay. These will likely be the "heaviest" key on your key ring, billet aluminum, brass loop, MSRP was $95 ea. EXACTLY AS SHOWN, ONLY, but Un-CUT, G-1. One is $54 Two at $98 And of course Ill throw in a priceless doo-dad

When I drive the viper...... It's the only key on my ring. The one I have is like a lead weight so I expect the PartsRack version to be similar...
Even the fleabay version is better than the stock key I'd bet. - Waiting to see..... |

Keys are RED ONLY.
Keys are GEN 1 ONLY. Thanks to several orders from this thread, we only have 5 of these billet keys remaining

Learn something new everyday. I thought the gen1 ignition key was the same as the gen2 key. Did the gen1 key come in different colors to match other body colors, or, are we talking this red gen1 key for the 92 only, with the gen2 style key actually starting later during gen1 production?

This is an AFTERMARKET Gen 1 Key. If you re-read his posts, he originally received the key with his used-Viper purchase... It was never an OE Key. OE keys have not ever come with the car in colors, just black or grey rubber or plastic. The see-thru 'skeletonized' key was Gen 2 began with 1996 GTS.
Aftermarket sources did make colored keys.

These things are secondary weapons - they must weight a pound between the 2. Love it! I really like the look - much more Gen1'ish then the red Gen2 Keys IMO.
