Dudes and dudettes,
What's the best way to sell a rare racing '98 SV Diablo? 530 HP, Kicks AS$ It's got 23,000 kilometers on it, (what's that? about 14K miles? ~0.62 conversion factor I think). They only made 20 for sale in the US and this one was built in Nov...probably one of the last ones? It wasn't titled until '99, so it still has a year of warrentee, (but the closest dealership that can do wareentte work is Springfield, Miss.) It's yellow and just won a Houston car show. |

You could list it in DuPont Registry
If your not familiar with them, they deal pretty exclusively with exotics. Their website can be found @ http://www2.dupontregistry.com/ and you can usually find a copy of the magazine at most bookstores. |

Barrett Jackson Car Auction. See- barrettjackson.com
Barrett Jackson Auction company plays to the right clientele and pre-qualifies bidders. |

Nice car Jeff. It looks much better without that gawdy "SV" on the side. As I recall, 530 was the stock HP in 98 with the addition of variable valve timing.
As for selling your Diablo, you may want to wait until NASDAQ gets back above 4500. Your market will be much bigger then. If you simply can't wait, try one of the Lambo message boards. A fellow named Roman used to run one that was quite usefull. Also, check with Al Burtoni (Diablo tuner extraordinaire & dealer) as he gets around more than most dealers. |

Thanks Dudes and Dudettes!
If the market goes up some more, I won't have to sell it! (probably will to get another Viper for Viper Days) Later |

Jeff,
I like the other ideas... something else you might try is to contact a place called "The Toy Store". They are in FL (Ft. Lauderdale I believe, maybe Tampa). They sell a lot of "special" cars. They bought a few nice ones at Barrett Jackson last year, and I know they sold Mike Tyson's highly customized Diablo a couple of years back. I had a friend that bought a Diablo from them also (a yellow SV - where were you then Jeff!), so you might have some luck. I think they will operate on either consignment or buy it outright. Might be worth a call. |

Out of curiosity, what are you asking for it? I'm certainly not a serious buyer at this point but just thought I'd ask. Hey, but it's in kilometers, I wouldn't even have to switch the instruments!

Remember Drew Alcazar? He's started a high end auction in Scottsdale. Food will be Great. May be worth a look. Same weekend as Barrett-Jackson

Albert! Dude! YOU MADE $20! WOW! Now you can buy that blow-up matress to throw down between events and sleep
(not that he needs the matress folks, Albert can sleep on nails any time any where!) As for the Diablo price, I was hoping for some advice from you guys and gals (Liz?)....guessing ~$180k |
