As far as I am concerned Vettes are "Way Off Topic" and should be talked about on the Corvette board. If you have a Viper and wanna spout off about a Vette, go to the proper Corvette site and talk amongst those jacks...I am sure they'd be glad to hear from you.

I guess it is something in the water in the southern NJ area. Unless it is about a Mopar I really could care less about it. Especially if it is an import. What cracks me up is that America has the ultimate sports car (Viper), yet so many idiots buy foreign. Wait until they lose their jobs and or World War 3 breaks out with a foreign nation...

I just had a great time touring the CAAP and on my way home I had the pleasure or touring the Corvette plant in Bowling Green. I really got to see how these cars REALLY differ it was amazing!!! Just a few points the Viper plant builds roughly 8 cars per day where the Vette plant does 15 per hour!!!! The tour guides for the Viper plant are people that actually work on the line at the Vette plant they look about 16-17 and know VERY little about the car! Last one, at the Viper plant I had a question that stumped the guide he tells me "I'll get the answer for you". Next thing I know John (plant manager) is walking my way with the answer (I almost messed my pants)!!!! At the Vette plant you stump the guide you win a key chain.

Now about the boards I enjoy going to the Vette board and talking with those guys. Since there are VERY few Vipers in my area I enjoy hooking up with the Vette guys. I don't mind them posting here at all.

I own a 99 GTS, but I like lot's of different cars. My wife and I just ordered a Z06 to go with the Viper. Whoops, there's some of that Vette talk.

Owning a Mopar is almost a religion in my mind...and has a "cult-like" following as far as I am concerned.

There are Mopar people and there are Viper people. I am a Mopar person from head to toe and wouldn't own anything else. These people are few and far in between. Unfortunately, most Viper owners aren't Mopar people. Now I know why Mopar people could care less about Viper owners...because Viper owners like Vettes and imports and of the like. And, on top of that, most are benchbuilders/white colar guys who think they are God's gift to the planet.

I have learned a big lesson through this BBS...true Mopar people and Viper people really don't mix and it is understandable. No wonder why Mopar guys never venture into the Viper area at shows...and vice-versa and I shouldn't have to explain why. Actually, I hate to admit that I own a Viper at Mopar car shows. I bring my 73 Dart 440 and leave the Viper at home. After all, I hate to be looked at as some rich, pompous, white collar benchbuilder who doesn't know a **** thing except where the gas cap is.

Forgive this rant...but this is exactly how I feel...and yes...if I ever had to part with either my Dart or the Viper...it will be the Viper!

WoW....I am sorry i started this! But I love my Viper(s) and all Im saying is WE are here on a Viper board and who cares that someone is selling a Vette, Go to the Vette board to sell it, or telling us how great the Zo6 is. But really, all this anomosity, and Frank, trashing Viper owners and being embarresed at a Mopar outing, I think all us Viper owners are VERY proud of the american sportscars and back in the 70's Mopars were great then too.
Yes, I know more than where the gascap is, I know where the oil goes too, so there....happy now. I aint rich, but I think the average Viper owner does well, works hard for that pleasure and should be proud in owning a Great American sportscar the Viper.
With all that said where are those Vette guys, and Girls, Dont want to miss out on you, Viperbrat...lol...we are all sportscar nuts, some just more nuts than others.

Ps: I do like American cars over Jap cars anyday.
