hello Guys and Gals, this is me again, still in deep financial poo poo.
This is a flier I will print and try to post in some nice jewelry stores, spas and restaurants. Any ideas to get me some help is welcome. For example if the women here could help me flesh out the blurb to appeal to single women, I'd be very grateful. Thanks *bows*. ![]() Life is short, and when you are successful, life can appear even shorter. We all want to fill it up with as much excitement as possible. Usually ending up more stressed out that we care to admit... Here's a fun stress reliever for those nice dry days. Yes we do have some around here in the NorthWest :-) If you can afford nice things, and feel like helping someone who's going through a total financial nightmare, please consider this offer: the owner urgently needs some liquidity but would like to repurchase the car from you in a few years. If you want of course. ![]() If you are a couple, this "His & Hers" viper is convertible for fun outings. Manly flames & horsepower for Him. Exquisite romantic sunset & dolphins for Her. If you are a single woman, show your class in this most stylish roadster. If you are a single man, take a tip from the French: women love to meet sensitive guys who are not afraid to be romantic. You may not really like the friendly dolphins on the hood, although I'm ready to bet they'll grow on you. But they are for your date, make sure to explain that to her. The flames and the 450hp engine are of course for you! ![]() The owner paid $250,000 for this car. The base car cost $100,000 with taxes, and the original paint job by world renowned artist Christian Riese Lassen cost another $150,000. The car has only 5500 miles and one owner who drives his sports cars respectfully. It has the longest possible factory warranty, 7 years, 100,000 miles. The asking price is $170,000. This car is a collectible item which could be worth over $300,000 to some avid Lassen collectors. You just need to wait a little for the economy to recover. And until then you get to enjoy one of the most exciting rides you can find! The car can be seen at the Cosmopolitan Motors showroom in Seattle: 2030 8th Ave Seattle, WA 98121 Phone (206) 467-6531 Fax (206) 467-6532 Email: sales@cosmopolitanmotors.com If you know people who could help, please pass on the word. Thank you for reading this & God Bless You. picture credits: Cosmopolitan Motors Lassen Site |

Honestly, this is not the place to try and sell this car, NOBODY is gonna pay $170,000 for a stock viper with a very um... gay paint job. I'm sorry dolphins on a Viper? Sensitive??? should have put it on a boxter.
Going value for this car is like $60K, so $110,000 for flames and tuna? Good luck with your net. Craig |

I'm not trying to be rude but geez, stop beating a dead horse. How many times has this car been on ebay? Get it appraised by some art loving pate' on cracker eating person to appraise it at X amount of dollars then have it in a trailer that mysteriously catches fire!.
That's the only way that car will see that $$$$ Compassionate women? with all respect to any woman that ventures on to the board? they probably won't be all, isn't that cutsey wutsey, I'll buy it. Craig |

I saw an interview of Fabio the other day. Fabio is a cool guy actually. Do I sense some repressed envy? I thought so.
Anyway, I owe $40K a month and I make only a fraction of that... I badly need to sell this car. If your idea of help is to spew the same old rancid stuff that damage the reputation of this car, please surf to another topic. Otherwise that's rude and insensitive. |

Remster,
I'm not one to get involved in off-topic discussion, but I believe what everyone is saying is accurate (not the Fabio stuff). The VALUE of your CAR is nothing more than the VALUE of any Viper of your vintage. The VALUE of the ARTWORK....well, is something that you would know alot more about than we do. The website you should be displaying this on, if you expect to find out who's interested, would be a (fine?) ART related website. Yes, YOUR "canvas" cost a bit more than your standard 6' x 15' canvas, but the true value that you're obviously looking for is that of the artist's work! So you really need to be where the ARTIST can be appreciated. If Van Gogh painted on an armoire, you wouldn't go to a furniture site for an appraisal, you most definitely would go to Christies or another ART auction... so find yourself buyers who appreciate your artist.... and call them... they're the ones that would be interested. Heck, you may even be able to pull the motor and trans, as they probably would just display it in their Great Room! By the way, BMW had an exhibit a few years back, at the Auto Shows, that had their cars mounted on a canvas like board, and then displayed them, as artwork, on the wall of the convention center.... not a bad idea! We welcome ALL Viper owners to this site, but your particular questions REALLY pertain to ART VALUE, not Vipers. |

This is some of the funniest stuff I have ever seen. This bored is starting to come around.
"IT TAKES A MAN TO CRY . . . IT TAKES AN EVEN BIGGER MAN TO LAUGH AT THAT MAN" Although I wish you luck, this is a horrible place to sell that car. Alot of these people on this board as cheap (including me) and even cry about the $100 a year viperclub membership let alone paying 2x the value of a viper. I dont think that car will ever sell. I think that paint makes it worth less for it is 100% completely undesireable. Maybe outwest it will sell to some hippie with money but not around here. |

Hmmmmmm...they say that there is a buyer for everything, and that different things appeal to different people, and I will admit, that this is a rather interesting, and certainly, without a doubt...a unique paint job. Now, although personally it doesn't do anything for me; it may seem quite attractive to someone, and all you need is that 1 "someone". I'm sure you will find that "someone" who can appreciate it for what it is, and who recognizes, and respects the artist's name, the artist who was permitted to use that Viper as his canvas. But, somehow I don't think that this is the proper forum for you to try to sell the car. Good luck, and be patient, someone will come along.
In all honesty, as a suggestion, I would drop the explanation of your financial status, that is kind of "poor taste". Just my opinion. I do hope that your future is brighter, and wish you the best. Laura ![]() ![]() |

Maybe that guy is the kid from that "Flipper" show, all grown up. Regardless, I don't think he could hold that Dolphin under water long enough either....he looks a bit wimpy to me.Laura ![]() ![]() |

we are getting somewhere, thanks for the input.
EmGTS: thanks! Yes, it's about finding a needle in haystack, but eventually I'll find it. So imagining you're a single woman interested in the car, does the line "women, show your class in this most stylish roadster. " need any addition or changes? Or do the paragraphs for couples and single men add enough already? Lil Schuey: I'm no crying man. My wife is very affected by all this though. It's hard to bear. Thanks for the barks. BSchillinger: somehow I don't find bankruptcy honorable. People have trusted me with loans, and I'll be worthy. Honor or nothing. Joseph Houss: yup, it's an odd thing I'm trying to sell. Art galleries don't want to hear about it though. I tried. I'm not famous enough for them to take my car. I also thought that would take too long to orchestrate that, although in restrospect there would have been ample time now... 'VIPERESS': someone is paying attention :-) thanks! I'll add to what I said to EmGTS... the line on finances was pointed at by some of my friends too. I'll try a batch with it, and a batch without, in different locations. double/trouble: here's the piece to explain it: I used to be worth on paper about 130 millions, so that was peanuts then. But holding onto stocks that drop 99% in value makes it real hard to avoid trouble. My debt is more than my assets now... and the assets are not selling for what I paid for, when they sell at all. The good side: I got millions of capital losses so I'll be making money tax free someday. Hopefully soon. to repeat my main question... imagining you're a single woman interested in the car, does the line "women, show your class in this most stylish roadster. " need any addition or changes? Or do the paragraphs for couples and single men add enough already? thanks all. |

Please, This is not to offend the sensitive men
We have overlooked the obvious marketing campaign. Maybe the Zaino Bros' could make a go of this oper-tuna-ty. "Honey, Not now. I have to polish the hood of my Viper." |

Remster, I'm not sure if you are joking, or you still miss the point. Who's talking about YOU being famous! Supposedly the artist is famous? If HE is, than the car should be worth the value of his artwork!
If you can't sell it, then you made a bad investment, as the artist obviously doesn't have the mainstream interest that is necessary to entice someone else... and that my friend, is unfortunate for you, as everyone has some special thing that to them is VERY valuable... but to others is worth "0". I'm sorry that this might be a rude awakening... but a few lines written to women about "showing your class" is NOT going to entice any women with THAT kind of expendable income to write out a check! Car Manufacturers spend millions a year on demographic analysis and marketing programs to try to come up with the "magic campaign". If you can't find a Lassen enthusiast that would take advantage of this "golden opportunity", it is VERY unlikely you're going to find someone to shell out the big bucks for the "sheer beauty" of custom paintwork. Unfortunately, You may have to consider this car another bad investment, and grab the hood for yourself (if you still love Lassen), replace it with a stock hood, paint it all one color and offer it for sale... and then, you're back at the right website! |
