Whatever club set up an autocross and allowed spectators/workers on the course in THAT type of location (where severe under or oversteer could put you in harms way) should be forced to work the finish line...with his/her foot as the time stop. NO WAY should there have been people there. If you're worried about cone reset then you put ONE person in a safe spot. It is NOT difficult to find a safe place! IDIOTS!!! This is why club liability insurance is so expensive!

Eeeeeewww ... "THWACK" Did you hear that guy's melon hit the car? Not good.
The sound that goes along with the video is instructive ... Makes it very clear how un-smooth the driver was. He was just tap dancing all over the gas. You pull that VROOM VROOOOM crap in a viper and you wouldn't make the first corner. Dumb@ss. |

When I posted the link, the video was cut short and I didn't see that person get nailed, I only saw him going off of the track. Kind of puts a different perspective on things!

I heard the same when this video first came out. Apparently the guy was trying to hammer through the turns and the Active Handling kept cutting the throttle. Eventually (as with all factory Traction Control) the computer got confused and let loose in the wrong direction and the rest is history.
