Viperholics,
Anyone ever see a Radical automobile race? They have a new vehicle called the 'SR3'. Performance seems incredible. And it is supposed to be 'street legal'. Check out the website at http://www.radicalmotorsport.com./ Check out the video's section as well, and the US News section. The video's will take a while to download, unless you have cable/dsl/dedicated line. I think they are about 3 megs each, but WELL WORTH THE WAIT. Awesome - in car footage. These cars have set many track records, but I can't imagine driving one on the street. Although, they say you can with the SR3. I tried to compare track times with Viperdays cars/drivers, but could not find a common track they raced on. I would have to assume the SR3 is much faster, but it is definately more race car, than the Viper. Can you imagine driving this thing on the street? I sure would like to try..... Later |

I've a friend whose racing one in this years British series, watched him test at a trackday with road going performance cars
(including a viper) and the radical was visibily the quickest that day. Extremely quick around and out of the corners and pace down the straights. A Pure race car, no attempt to make it road legal |

Neil,
Thanks for the reply. Just to make you aware, the SR3 IS street legal. And the SR3 is supposed to be faster than the previous 'track only' cars. Now just because it is street legal, does not mean driving on regular road is realistic. Radical says it can be done, though. P.S. - The SR3 is a two seater. I believe the previous cars were one seat (in center), but not 100% sure.... P.S.S. - The suspension height can be adjusted for road use. Pictures: |
