On my way to work, I was at the stoplight near my house. Across the street was a riced out something, I think it was an eclips?. He starts reving his engine.. and reving more and more trying to get my attention. He then just decides to rev it way into the red line and HOLD IT THERE untill I look at him. I get a green arrow and make my turn, he's still way into the red (sounded like 8K+) when i'm almost past him I hear this *KKLLLUNKK!!!* *KERBAM* *GRIND* kind of noises. He lurches like a few inches and stops. Just sits there, motor won't crank (I hear the grinding of a starter or something). The jackazz blew his motor!
I just looked at him, shook my head, and continued along. He was getting out of the car (green now mind you, so people were getting pisses) and started opening his hood. I bet the girl in the passenger seat was quite impresses ![]() MadMaxx |

Yep, chickies are stupid these days. They are lured by big wings (not wangs) and stickers. Loud stereo is like a matting call, they come out of the woodwork.
But, the kind of chicks they get, are NOT the kind you want to spend time with.. it's purely a 1-2 week deal. I bet he broke his timming belt and those valves slamed into the pistons (mitsu motors = zero clearence). Saw a 3K do it once, kills the entire motor ![]() MadMaxx |

Eventually they reach the point where they rather have the power then the guy or the car and that's where trouble starts... |

Sounds like the ideal woman to me. Do they fill their pockets when they leave or do they just take what they brung to the table? I may need some phone numbers here if they can do w/o the radio & stickers.

That was always my biggest fear in my VR4. I had it done right when I got it, because I couldn't find evidence of the 60K tuneup.
I miss the car, but I don't miss the 2nd gear syncro grind ![]() MadMaxx |

Holding a red line rev at a stop light until you blow up your engine = Ricer Period. Screw the hippie "Get to know him" crap. I don't care if it's a 1000HP supra, or a supercharged viper, holding a redline rev (done to get the attention of a car to begin with) until the motor grenades make you a ricer. ![]() - Matt |

Breaking your engine or car when you are trying to show off has got to be the #1 most embarassing auto related event you can experience.
Good to be you! Sux to be him! |

Just because a person mods their car doesn't mean they are a ricer. It's when they mod their car in a really stupid way or make their car look ridiculous. Example: VTEC stickers on a Saturn.
