We really need to find a cure for this
![]() A co-worker of mine lost his battle with cancer this weekend. It was hard watching his hair fall out over the last few months, and him being out, but this is just a big blow to everyone. Just ranting ![]() James |

Lets look at the other side...
I had skin cancer last year. A few surgeries later....no cancer. "had" being the key word. Always have hope and prayer is a powerful thing. |

> SOMEDAY there will be a cure...
(shameless plug) ... and we can speed that day up by donating to cancer research organizations.(/plug) Speaking personally, I only want one set of "better living through chemistry" pictures in my family album: ![]() (May '99) |

Wishing your wife, yourself, and your family continued good health and happiness for many years to come.James, I am so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, I'm sure that there is not one of us who have not had our lives affected in some way by Cancer. A family member, a friend, a neighbor, ourselves, or someone we know who has had Cancer. Although many people today are winning their personal battle with these disease, there are still way to many people continue to fall victim to it, losing the battle in the end, usually after a long, hard, courageous fight. It is my hope that one day we will have a cure for this devastating killer and until that day comes, that we allow people to die with dignity. Laura ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I can totally relate.
3 years ago I had an uncle diagnosed with cancer (can't remember which form) Anyways, he battled through it and did really well. Sadly his remission was only a coule short months and is now undergoing treatment to fight it again. To make matters worse I had a second uncle diagnosed with a very serious form of cancer (though which aren't?) and will probably not live to see his daughters graduate high school. I encourage everyone to donate to this worthwhile cause. |

My (67 days and counting!) soon to be wife had ovarian cancer, but luckily they were able to get it in time before any damage was done. I've never had anything in the world scare me like that did.
