Default Researching the Rebuilders - Did you rebuild a wreck?

Hello all,

I'm doing a little research into the actual costs of rebuilding a wrecked Viper. If any of you have personally rebuilt your car please tell me your story. I'm very interesting the cost numbers, time, and original damage.

This isn't my typical wreck info search as I'm not interested in the car this time, but the person doing the work.

Thanks

damnit ballickers, you've been talking about this viper you're going to buy forever now. One week you don't know whether you want a newer GTS, or an older RT/10. Then the next week it's on to a wrecked viper. Then the next week it's how poor you are and how you didn't get to go to college. Are you actually ever going to buy a viper, or are you going to just going to post here 400 times a day about which one to buy?

Dude chill, find someone else to harass. This has nothing to do with me buying or fixing a Viper, I need research material for a project that has nothing to do with you.

Besides which what makes you so sure I don't already have my Viper? I'm getting kind of sick how you seem to think my not currently owning one makes me somehow less entitled to have an opinion.

Hey Bonkers,

Go to Viperwrecks.com

Seems that thet have lots of cars, parts, and whatever you'll need to rebuild whatever it is you end up buying.

Good Luck !!!!

Judging by my email response I have to assume that my original thread was misleading. I'll try to rephrase...

I know all about the companies that supply equipment and parts and have done serious looking to the tuners and dealers who specialize in rebuilding and custom work. That's not the information I seek.

What I am looking for are the people themselves who dug into the effort of rebuilding the car they drive in today. Nadine, Dansauto, Joe117, I know you all have done serious repair work to your cars. What is the stories behind that work? Was it tough? Easy? Fun? Frustrating? Expensive? Do you regret the blood sweat and tears lost on this project? Did your car meet its final expectations?

When I get done with my little project I'm hoping there will be very little reference to the technical standpoints of the car.

Sorry for the misunderstanding...

Although not here in the US, Nadine has done exactly what you describe. Brought back her Viper from an accident. From the pictures she did a great job. Gotta be a lot of work!
