I’ve had both Viper loans with the same bank for three years and I asked them to consolidate them into one, and they won’t do it. What good does it do to be with a bank for 10 years, have direct deposit and auto-withdraw for the loan payments if they won’t work with me? I hate banks. Anybody out there wanna screw a bank and finance these cars for me?

Depends on how much you have out on loan and one Viper might not be worth the whole loan.

Take out low interest home equity loan.
Pay off both Vipers. (Dump that bank and tell 'em why and how.) |

For example, just the other day I wanted to change the oil. I had park my truck in the street so I could move one Viper out into the driveway and then back the other Viper out and then back into the center of the garage. It's a real b1tch moving these vehicles all around!!! Believe me, you don't want these kind of hassles. |

Sometimes banks are REALLY stupid...
My wife recently had her purse stolen. So we cancel all the cards, and close the checking, and open a new one. Two days later, we recieved mail from the bank...Thanking us for opening a new account and here is a $20 gift certificate! If I could automate this, and do it 100 times a day, that is 10k per week! I'm with FlounderMelon, get the equity loan, pay off everything, and moon them on the way back to your car... |

Just continue to make the existing car payments (that you are now making to the bank) to your home equity lender. After 2 years (in your case) it will be gone and you can use the interest paid over the course of those 2 years) as a deduction against income. |

Equity can be an excellent tool, BUT you have to hit it hard every month in order for it to work to your advantage. I have a line of 30K out now on my house (worth 160K, paid for), bought Jennifer a jeep with it and paid off a card. I throw about 500 bones a month at that line, which is at ~4%/360mo. By the time it's paid, they've charged me only ~2K interest (over 4 years), which I would have spent about 7K interest on the std jeep loan. Insurance is also cheaper, as I can run a 1K deductible on a paid for vehicle (pulled from equity line if needed), so the savings outweigh std. loans.
An equity line is always handy if something happens... you can pull from it if needed. My problem right now is getting my own viper biz started and getting the insurance (health) thing worked out. MM |

Don't listen to any of this silly financial advice, what
you need to do is leave your least favorite Viper at my house until you build a bigger garage. I can garantee it will be well protected by my faithful Golden Retriever Rusty and I'll keep the oil changed and rotate the tires daily for you! And the icing on the cake is all the above services come at no charge to you. Just remember I love you man! |
