Does anyone here have experience with XM Radio. Arkansas
is a virtual wasteland for any good radio especially jazz where we get Dave Koz's radio program once a week. Do you have trouble getting it while you drive through large metro areas? With a 100 different stations do you have trouble picking one? Is it really worth the investment of receiver and antenna for the car and home? Thanks for your time.... |

Friend of mine here in Miami has the Sirius system in his Acura and he loves it, both the reception, the choices of stations, and the LCD display of the station and the musical format. Not sure if there is a nice place for the antennae on a Viper though--probably less noticable on a black Viper. Believe Sirius costs a few bucks more a month, has more DJ-free and/or commercial free stations but fewer number of total stations than XM. Best to compare the actual programming and the physical equipment before buying one or the other.

Have it, Love it, totally worth the investment for the car ( I wouldn't do it for home - that's why I have DSirecTV..), and don't have _any_ problems with it.
***DO NOT**** buy a Sirius system. They are going out of business within 6-12 months. XM has STRONG potential in the long run. Take a look at their stock, as well! |

Tried it, loved it, will buy it. It sucks going through tunnels, but then again so does FM. I haven't tried it out in the rain yet, but the sunny day experience is awesome...especially if you commute the miles I do.

I have it in the Viper but can't hear it well under throttle!
It is a great system - rarely bother with CD's in the Viper so this gives me a great alternative with variety. Music is clear and the comedy station is hilarious! I'm adding it to my other vehicles shortly. Don't hesitate, just buy it - you won't regret it. |
