Looked great! I mean really good, and very exciting visually. Whatever they did to it worked, cause its way more exciting to look at now.
So I'm lookin at the SRT, and this bad looking guy comes over, and I think it must be a Viper owner, sure nuff, it was Phil, GTS owner from the "valley". With future Viper owner friend whose name escapes me. More pics in Media/Member's Galleries/Vic edit-Does anyone know how to get the photo to appear larger? It was larger when I copied the properties. |

Just returned from San Diego auto show. Dodge displayed a Final Edition. Wonder why no SRT-10.
Final Edition looked great anyways. |

Paul,
I was dissapointed there was no SRT at the SD show too. I hope they will have one at Barrett/Jackson later this month. If so, I'll see one there. 2charmed |

My brother called me from the show in LA this afternoon. He had one hand on the SRT-10 and the other on the cell phone when he called.
He declared the car to look terrific in person. My former skepticism has now turned. I really gotta see the new Non-rice SRT 10 in PERSON! The only drawback of the show he said was the show didn't have much in the FORD section as he believed the show's highlights were split between more than one city. Thank Goodness I live in the greatest city in the world where we get all of the concepts and the most people: CHICAGO.Cheers, Jay K. |

Yeah, huh, Jay. The Ford people said the GT was at the Detroit Auto Show. There is only on eof them making the rounds, and right now its on the East Coast. The other two GT made are suppossedly in museums or something already. However, Ford is unveiling something or other on Tuesday, at the LA show.

Weeeelllll
Im back from the LA Auto Show and Im sad to say I found the SRT boring. I had gone with the intention of falling in love with it and ordering one but alas it looks like a giant Honda S2000..thats not a bad thing. Its a nice looking car but thats just the problem. It looks like a normal car. It will turn heads for maybe the first 6 months or so while theyre really rare ( at least here in Los Angeles) and then nobody will look twice at it. The last Gen Vipers still get major looks to this day. To illustrate what Im talking about heres an example. My girlfriend walked right by the SRT and asked me where the new Viper was... not because she's blind just because it "blends in" doesnt stand out. Having said all that if I were rich would I buy one to compliment my RT? YES because it is cool and it is powerful..but for a working person it isnt worth the money. ...But I found something that is ... I put a deposit down on a Lotus Elise... tentative April 2004 delivery.. LESS than $ 40,000!!!! ![]() I have been drooling over that car since it came out in Europe oh so long ago...I like that its 180 degress from the Viper... super light with a small high rev engine. IM sure it'll be a ton of fun and for that price I dont think I can lose.Anyway.. just my impressions. I am NOT raggin the SRT. Just not my cup of (SR) "T" |

Please forgive me if this was covered in the SRT-10 forum already, but is it me or did they round off a bit here and added a few curves there? Am I wrong? Thanks for the pics, Vic.

He's a car guy but doesn't keep up with Vipers so he has never seen or even knew a new style was made. After watching a ton of GTS and RT/10 Vipers go down the strip the new SRT-10 pulled up to the line and the first thing my brother said was, "What's that? Is that a Viper? Kind of looks like that one Honda car" I like the new SRT-10 but like the GENII better Just my opinion. |
