The big question is whether your laptop video card supports dual monitors.
It turns out few do and I was lucky when I bot my $500 Toshiba Satellite from Best Buy just before Xmas! If you go to Display Properties Settings, you will see many references to the 2nd monitor. If there are none apparent, then you do not have the capability. I think that it is amazing that this MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE is a "non-issue" with the purchasing of a laptop. Frankly, it is one of the most important features to look out for. Talk about solving the "my monitor is too small" problem! |
