Would you join???
If America had the draft, would you guys go? This topic was talked about in my area and many of the younger guys basically said no.I was kinda disgusted hearing that. They said they would split...I wish I can ship a few million jerkoffs from NY to live in Iraq.

When the draft was happening for Vietnam, I was about to head off to college. I couldn't possible endure the thought of four years in the military and considered myself extremely lucky to get a draft number of something like 324. I lost some friends to the Vietnam War.
Six years later I joined the Marine Corps on my own decision and it was one of the best decisions of my entire life. Life's interesting in that your perspective constantly changes with age and experience. |

Cody and Ab I don't understand the waiting in line with no food or shelter thing. If you feel this way why don't you just join???
Or are you saying you wouldn't run to another country if you were drafted? |

Mike, I think they meant if there was a DRAFT....
I would def go. Since having a brother in law who flew in dessert storm I wouldn't want him to be pissed off at me. The fkr was flying F-16'S . Did his tour and now flys as a captain for American airlines. Graduated with incredible flying skills from the airforce academy in Colorado. He is good at what he does... |

Been there done that!! Spring of 1969 did an extended tour

I turn 16 on the 13th of April, and have already gotten all the information in regards to joining. Although I may go the route of Air Force ROTC in college because my parents would like me to go to college (thinking of the Air Force Academy). I still have a little over 2 years to decide though.
For the guys who are dissapointed in today's youth, there still are some of us who know what the cost of our freedom is. |

Hey Kid, if you are planning to go in the airforce academy, make sure you have great grades. You will need two senators to give you a recommendation letter.
