I for one have seen crappy roads in New York. The only nice road I have driven my Viper was going to Tators. If the other 4 Vipers will recall what I did to that Modena going to Chucks party....NY has the worst roads...

HWY 25 between Hollister and 198. About 100 miles of road with lots of banked curves and a few straights. Not too much traffic on weekdays. Stop off at The Feedlot in Tres Pinos for a good steak.

BACKNBLACK
Before you list the roads of NY as all bad you need to come to NY state and drive some of them, not that crap down by NYC.Come on upstate, I would welcome the opportunity to show you some of the best 2 lanes in this part of the United States. Skeeter |

Speaking of which -
Any of you Dallas area guys have any favorite Sunday drive roads around here? Getting tired of the same old stomping grounds...would love a few new roads within 30 miles or so. There's gotta be something around here that's not quite as far north as Van Alstyne... |

We have some pretty nice roads up here in Ontario. The ontario Viper club had a cruise last year and I got to steal my uncles RT for the day to chase my dad around in.

I think it was 55 or 220 in West Virgina that I can remeber most. Good old mountian roads with low traffic and no cops.
My favorite of all time was this little back road outside of Milford CT (I don't know where it is, but its between a Days Inn and an Ace Hardware.) It wasn't very long but it was glass smooth and the turns were slightly banked which made it REALLY fun. I have to also agree with hostle. I helped build the Lowe's in Elmira and there was some impressive highway out that way too. Course I was in my Z28 at the time and there was fresh snow on the ground so I couldn't really enjoy it as much. |

(Not sure of the spelling)Naches Trace, the cruise on VOI in Nashville was awesome. We took some great pic's. Long curvy with no stops, and scenery was nice too.
By the way...VOI8? |

the dragons tail, Deals Gap on the NC Tennessee border, 311 turns in 11 miles, awsome, gut wrenching, no straights, just one turn into the next, taxing and fun.

HWY 1 on the California Coast.
I drove this road a few months ago, and aside from it being a blast to drive, with excellent curves and some fun straights, the view is absolutely beautiful. I actually had to keep stopping so I could take in the scenery because if I didn't I kept trying to watch it as I was driving. Here's a pic we took while driving. Sorry the car isn't a viper..it's all I have |
