We're taking a little trip from New Orleans to Dallas. What's a good place to stop over in between?
We're thinking either Shreveport or Baton Rouge. Don't know the first thing about either of them. Anything to do at either, or should we just avoid both??? |

either one should work for you. Not much going on in either place unless you
want to go gambling. |

Shreveport would divide the trip better; you'll be in BR little over an hour after you leave the Easy.
Try The Cub (bar) at Youree & Kings. There's another one behind it call the Fillin Station. It's small but chatty. Boats downtown if you're into that type of thing. Ralph & Kacoos in Bossier City for "decent" seafood. Kon Tiki on Youree has some mean drinks. It's restaurant type atmosphere, good primer. |

Have a great trip, Birvini! Are you driving a Viper and if so which one?

Birvini,
I live in Shreveport and I vote you stop here. Not sure when your making the trip but there is a festival (Red River Revel) going on the first three weeks of October. Fun place to eat, drink, and be merry. There is also the boats if you like to gamble. There is a car cruise the third Thursday of the month from 5:00 -9:00 pm. It's hit and miss but sometimes there are some nice cars that show up. There is an antique car museum downtown. If you like Cajun food I recommend Copeland's. Superior steakhouse is suppose to be where all the "beautiful people hang out". I'm not one of them. I'd be happy to talk to you about other places if you want to call. If I'm off work when you come I'll even show you around. It's an easy trip from here to Dallas 180 miles all interstate. Doc 318-773-5998 |
