If the Lambo missed a shift at the start, it would have dropped back dramatically, suddenly.

But it didn't!

If the Lambo started in too high of a gear at the start, the Vette would have jumped ahead dramatically, suddenly.

But it didn't!

That looked fair to me, from what I can see on the video. If anything, the Lambo got the jump on the Vette at the third beep. After that, it was just a steady pulling ahead by the Vette, until the Lambo let off the gas "because of the cops".

My guess is the ZO6 just plain smokes the baby Lambo.

Yes, that was as real as it gets, and the driver in the Lambo knew exactly what he was doing.

I know the driver of the Z and the cameraman in the Gallardo. They raced severla times and the Gallardo got beat everytime.

The Gallardo had a Tubi exhaust, got the honk and the jump and still got walked by a bonst stock Z06.

That Z06 had just got done running a 11.6@12x at the track in bone stock trim prior to this race.

Yes, the Z06 is that fast!!

I had a baby Lambo ride up on me the other day. We were on a four lane road with no traffic. Just as he gets to me he throws on the blinker and turn down some road. I thought WTF, here we are two guys in are fast cars on a beautiful day with know one around. It really pissed me off. Know body wants to play with me.

But I guess for guy that paid $200,000-$300,000 for a Lambo. He's got everything to loose against a $75,000 Dodge.

From that last video, you can see the speedo needle on the ZO6 was pointing about horizontal, or a little more, which on a ZO6 speedo faceplate comes out about to 140mph. The Gallardo would never catch up, cuz after that initial acceleration, its all about HP vs wind resistance. In other words, what you see happen up to 140 is just about what you would see all the way up to top speed, maybe the ZO6 would get even farther ahead.

Damn.................second vid seems a lot more convincing. Impressive to say the least.

If you watch video via the link I provided a few threads above, look at the first race and notice how the Z was pulling more and more as speeds increased. The Gallardo had no chance, even up top.

While speaking to the cameraman in the Gallardo, he said his prediction was that the Z would get the jump, and the Gallardo would reel in and pull at 140+. It was the complete opposite and he couldn't believe how hard the Z pulled up top.
