Default King of cars "Towbin Dodge"

Anyone check out this show? I kinda liked it..then I googled "Towbin Dodge," and found some brutally poor reviews for the dealership, criminal even. They'll be lucky to be in business in a year based on the stuff I read on-line.

They are the largest used car dealership or new Dodge dealership in the US I believe. I don't think they are too worried they have been around for awhile.

Yep - they've been around for quite a while. They are making a concerted effort to change the way they do business and treat customers. They had a very poor reputation in town and burned many customers but they have since realized that this must change and have a new GM who is working very hard to repair their image.

i too have watched the show and it is a friggin circus. maybe it works in vegas, but i know it wouldnt fly here in central IL.

i sold cars for a local chevy dealership for one year. definately reality tv.

i too did a google search on towbin and found what you were referring to. kicking and damaging a truck, yes is criminal. but the guy is clearly harrassing towbin at an excessive level with the video camera, signs, and the website. the guy clearly needs a life.

The commercials used to run in Vegas back 4 years ago. Same genie and antics. I thought their prices were good, but did not want to drive a car back to FL. The show is a bit of a stretch IMO.

Alot of stuff on the show is staged. They're still a high pressure sales tactic place, but they've stopped doing many of the things that brought them trouble. They still run the "Chopper Show" with all the goofy characters (Blue Genie, Golden Spaghetti, etc) every Saturday morning. There must be some value in it because there are now a couple of other "me-too" dealerships running shows of their own on local TV in Las Vegas.

For those of you who were at our Viper BBQ before VOI, you had the chance to meet Blue Genie and Hollywood from the show as well as see a few of their vehicles. Towbin was a sponsor of the barbecue and spoke highly of it before and after...
