Dontcha love it when Hooters girls bash Corvettes?

I called a friend yesterday and asked him if he wanted to meet me at Hooters. He says yes but turns around and calls this jerk who we know that has a Z06. I can't stand the guy, he has the biggest ego if ANYONE i know. Which is funny since daddy buys him everything and the only job he's had his entire life was a car salesman for 2 weeks. But, back to the story....we're sitting at Hooters and friend #1 asked the Hooters girl has she ever seen the Viper (I didn't drive it last night ),she says "yeah, i've rode in it before". He asked her how fast did we go and she tells him. The Z06 guy pops up and says "well, if you want to ride in a fast car, I'll bring my TT 1000 RWHP Corvette one day" (the TT's aren't installed yet...I guess daddy hasn't given him his allowance yet ). She looks at him and says "I like Corvettes, but Vettes are for rednecks who can't afford Vipers" Me and friend #1 nearly fall off of our stools laughing. This put Vette boy in a real bad mood and he said something like "I'm not even gonna tell people what I have anymore" to which I responded "thank God, we are so damn tired of hearing your ego and about that damn car everyday". He got his check and left 5 mins later I may go to Hooters a lot, but at least I seem to be training them right

I knew the Viper was coming down to Tampa this weekend, so it got the night off. The Eclipse did its fair share of Hooters visits before the Viper was bought, so it wasn't in unfamiliar territory

Working on it...gonna take spending some time with her, dedication and Hooters visits, but ya know, sometimes you just gotta suck it up and take one for the team.

Thats my problem with him. Daddy buys him everything which he conveniently forgets when bragging about his stuff 24/7. He was actually on his better behavior that night (all he did was brag the Corvette up as opposed to trashing the Viper like he loves to do). Had he got his ego really going, I was going to throw it ALL (spoiled brat who is a good reason to practice safe sex) in his face and make him feel very very very bad and stupid in front of the hot Hooters chick, but she seemed to handle that on her own

Well, if they didn't hate us enough for the "God made Vipers, so Corvette guys would have heroes" shirts, they will now! Just so people don't think its Viper owners trashing the Chebby boys, maybe we should do the shirts like:

That's sad...we have the Viper, which is our DREAM car, but I also love the Vette I just got...we don't bash ANYbody's car...even ECLIPSES...EVERYbody loves their own car...and for the Vette guy to back DOWN...sure he should SHUT UP about the Vette, but to be put in a bad mood due to the odd comment from the Hooter girl? The Hooters in our area closed down last year--we're not sure why. But, of COURSE, one KNOWS what a Hooters is before one goes for a luscious lunch~~!!

I don't think its sad at all. He's a jerk with a big mouth. He got shut up by a Hooters girl. Vipers can get along with Vettes but when the Vette owner is a loud mouth jerk, I'm happy to see ANYONE (Hooters girl or Chip-n-dales dancer) shut them up. I've never bragged here about my Eclipse, so not sure what the "even Eclipses" part is about, but I know its not in the league of a Vette or Viper. However, a few years ago, I did think about selling it and getting a Vette before I bought the Viper.....I decided against it. I dont have anything against Corvettes, but there not important enough to me to spend the $$ on them. I also prefer not to have them shoved down my throat 24-7 like this guy likes to do, so to see him and his ego get busted was nice.

I had stated that the guy should've shut up about his Vette. I think it's 'sad' as I said that the Hooter girl would make such a broad statement like that, and not address this particular JERK/not the car itself. I was also stating what I ALWAYS say...we love EVERYbody's car...whatever it is...whether it's an Eclipse, a Civic, a Lamborghini, or a car that someone worked hard to buy to just HAVE a car. It's why we don't get into the Vette/Viper bashing...it's immature. I happen to absolutely LOVE my '08 Vette, but I don't push it down anyone's throat...nor do we with the Viper either. We attend summer events weekly where there are a WIDE variety of cars....EVERY SINGLE PERSON loves THEIR own car...if someone's a JERK about their car, well then THEY are the jerk...not the car. You don't have to like my Corvette, or Vettes in general (as evidenced by your highlighted comment above)...I don't care if you do or don't...I'd just not applaud the Hooter girl for thinking she was 'hot-stuff' saying what she did...HE was out of line...HE should've been put on the spot...inferring 'rednecks' can only 'afford' a Corvette?? How classy of her, she must not have any idea how much they also cost.
We worked VERY VERY hard to get a Viper...took MANY years of dreaming...it's our DREAM car...my Vette is ALSO a dream car for me personally...as I always wanted to try the paddle-shifters....totally fun! Life is just SOOO short to limit yourself to bashing others' CARS. Can we not just all get along??!! ENJOY our cars AND LIFE while we can! ~juli
(Don't take everything so personally, Chad~~~it was NOT a slam against you...I mentioned the Eclipse, just because it was mentioned earlier...if a Civic was mentioned, I'd have referenced that...only cus it already IN the conversation...it's funny when the fellas comment on something, you can joke with them, but you cannot read what I wrote--in context--and joke back to me...whassup with that?)
