My friend from college picked up his GTR on Thursday. We met up today to cruise together and Ive got to say its a pretty nice car. When he initially told me he bought white 5 months ago I was kind of surprised, but the amount of flake they put in the paint really makes for a creamy iridescent effect up close. Im not a fan of white cars, but I must say its actually pretty nice.
The car pulls very hard throughout the RPM range and the dual clutch transmission is amazing. Shifts are literally instananeous and make for a great sprint to 60. I think it would be a good run for an 03-06 SRT with an edge to the GTR sub 100. After that the Viper would probabley start to walk away. From a dig the GTR would probabley put some good length on an inexperienced Viper driver. It moves quick off the line. For a larger car it turns alot of heads and for people that know what it is go crazy for it. We parked next to eachother at a mall and had a small crowd gather very quickly. My SRT still got alot of love and I gave one younger guy a ride despite being in the presence of the most hyped car of the summer. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by MarkRx; 09-08-2008 at 10:09 AM. |

That looks like BlueBatMobile's GTR. Well, I heard he got rid of his Viper for it.
Nice pictures, I really dig the looks of the GTR from the back. The front end looks a bit cheesey. Looks like Nissan borrowed some headlights off a Toyota Celica. Thanks for posting those pics. Looked like a great day to go out for a cruise. |

Wow! tell your friend I love his car
![]() I'm in the age group that grew up with the GT-R as an video game icon. They always had legendary status since they were not imported here. I'm glad the new car may be able to live up to that reputation. My friend has a Supra and I have my GTS and we go out cruising and we get a lot of attention. I cannot imagine the attention you guys get with those cars! Have fun ![]()
