SRT-8 Jeep front door hinges
Slightly off topic - Who should I be mad at at SRT because the front doors on my SRT-8 Jeep keep slamming on me and won't stay open. It's been driving me and everyone I know who has one nuts for a year. I cannot believe there were not notes in the testing logbooks saying "great truck, but the door keeps closing on me unless I'm parked downhill."

This is not an SRT specific problem. Lots of posts on the WK Jeep forum about this issue. Common with all the Grand Cherokees.

Have not noticed this problem with my 2007 SRT 8 Jeep? Have approx 2900 miles logged.

Same problem on my 2006 Grand Cherokee Overland. Cleaned all the lube off the hinge and it helped some.

Looks like they fixed it for the 08's. SRT8 2008 doesnt have that problem at all, course I only have about 1600 miles on it, does that count?

5K miles on my 08... havent had this issue?
Now... swinging the door open with not enough force, and having it come flying back and knocking you on your ass/knocking drinks out of your hands/trying to separate your foot from your leg... does that count? Something tells me its user error, but I dont agree. This is the USA where we blame everyone and everything else, is it not? LOL
