Update- I Still Plan 10.99 Or Lower With 2008 Stock Coupe

still feel I can run A 10.99 OR LOWER 1/4 MILE RUN when
the new 2008 becomes available.

It would be cool to see. But it will have to be at the perfect track, with perfect weather and conditions. I remember when the guy who was running the Z06 into low 11's and finally 10's, wasnt he at a track known for having very good conditionsand altitude, etc.

The guy you speak of goes by the name of RANGER. He lives about 1 hour from me
and we race at the same tracks in the area. Yes the conditions will need to be
perfect and with the car coming out in the fall it blends well for great conditions.
There is a VCA MEMBER who has ordered one and has offered to let be give it a
go once he takes delivery of the car.

I think it's possible also. Right track with good prep and good conditions, the new Viper should hit 10's.

Take a 06 SRT-10 running 11.8's. Add 100hp, better rear diff, better tranny, higher RPM band. That's an easy .8 tenths. IMHO

I think Ranger broke 10's with slicks though....Would be nice if you could do it and the Viper is coming stock with PS2 right? much better then the runflats....Im thinking more like 11.2 @ around 127-128 mph but Ill be rooting for you and the 08 Snake to hit the 10's...

Are there any stock (down to the tires) cars PERIOD that have ever hit 10.99? I can't think of one off of the top of my head.
