Default 2008 "Interior Issues" for SAT-NAV, Seat Lowering, Harnesses.

IMPORTANT: Our recent detailed inspections reveals changes of the 08 interior that might affect owners / buyers of 2008, and also those who chose Sat-Nav.

1) If you plan to install a 2" Drivers seat kit, modifications will be required to relocate a new module under the drivers seat. This is new, for ALL 2008s. A 1" kit is OK, but 2" presents problems. If this affects your plans (especially buying plans) please call me for a detailed but simple fix. I estimate that 30-40 Vipers are sold each year SIMPLY BECAUSE WE CAN LOWER THE SEAT 2" ! We dont want to lose any Viper sales.

2) If you plan to install 6-pt harnesses in your 2008, good for you ! HOWEVER: If you ordered the Sat-Nav option, the receiver module has been mounted INTO THE PASSENGER SIDE SHOULDER HARNESS ANCHORS ! This means we must pay special attention to a modified harness hardware application and vehicle anchors that are different from 92-06 Vipers. Short Version: IF YOU ORDER HARNESESS, BE SURE TO TELL US IF YOU HAVE SAT-NAV OPTION in your 2008. We will probably ask, but HEADS UP!

There is NO REASON to skip the harness, but special attention must be paid to get you the correct hardware. It should be no more time-difficult to install.....

3) We have a few customers who already ordred the 2" kit in anticipation... we will obviously trade you for the price diff. We also have a few who have bought harneses in advance of their 2008 delivery. Those buyers will need to swap-out the Passenger shoulder belts IF YOU HAVE SAT-NAV only. This will be a no-charge swap, just pay s/h. We cannot know if you have SAT-NAV, you gotta tell us!
