PS2's VS Runflats

Keep in mind that I do not have a stock suspension when reading the following comments. I do not know whether someone with a stock suspension would experience the same benefits. The PS2's being discussed are the '08 Viper OEM tires. They are on an '06 supercharged SRTC with motons, eibachs, '08 diff, and '08 tranny.

1. Traction - much better straight line and otherwise. ( Part of this is due to the '08 diff. How much of the improvement is allocable to each change is anyone's guess.)

2. Ride quality - much, much better.

3. Performance in wet conditions - I did not notice any difference.

4. Appearance ( not that I care ) - look OK to me.

5. Wife's impression - she noticed the difference before I mentioned the tire change. She commented that the ride quality was better and asked me why.

6. Overall opinion - a must do change for those with Motons and Eibachs or the equivalent. I will defer to others who have a stock 03 to 06 suspension to comment on their respective experiences with PS2's.

7. Don't forget to get a proper inflator if you get the PS2's. The one sold by TireRack, according to the data on their site, could result in damage to the Viper's tire pressure sensors.
