I think I heard that Borla manufactures the exhaust for Mopar, is that correct?
I know exhuast questions are very subjective. But any reason NOT to get the Mopar instead of the Corsa which is double the price? |

One sounds really good and the other sounds like a cow with really bad flatulence.

Thanks for calling the sound of my car "like a cow with really bad flatulence."
So how many of each have you owned? Heard first hand? How about at the track at a full scream? My opinion about the Mopar (which is better since I have over 20,000 miles with one installed) is that it is lower pitch and throatier than the Corsa, but has periods of resonance which can be annoying, especially with a hard top or coupe. I do like the tenor of the Corsa, but would not pay the difference myself. |

I have the MOPAR exhaust and I love it! It is built by Borla. It has a rather unique muffler and isn't really all that loud but it does get rid of the cross over and the cats. The price by comparison is a bonus.

This is the system that I have. Got it from Roe almost 3 years ago. Sounds good. Works good. After 15,000 miles on it, zero issues. I suppose you could pay more, but why?

Don’t have the Borla, but here’s a recording I made of Stock vs. Corsa just before/after I installed the Corsa on my '05 late last fall (stock Cats for both).
Stock Vs. Corsa There are three “sections” in the recording – Startup, Rev, and Idle/Shutdown – alternating Stock then Corsa. I recorded it in stereo - one mic left and one right a little behind and below the exhaust tips - direct to digital (use decent headphones, it will sound like crap with your PC speakers). The only other mod I did before installing the Corsa that made a difference to the sound was AutoLite XP spark plugs. Those really did eliminate a lot of the stock “gurgling/popping” on deceleration, especially in gear (which is not the case with the recording). I'd think the Corsa would sound even "throatier" with stock plugs. By the way, this is simple DYI project. I did it myself in one evening, just needed ramps to back the car onto to remove the crossover. The most time consuming part is adjustment to get the tips place correctly in the openings… Ron |

I have the Mopar street exhaust 2 1/2". It sounds great. The price was good too.

![]() Juice: If you're looking for a low-cost alternative, I'd recommend the RT catback. It seems identical to the B&B design but not as expensive. Give JonB at PartsRack a call and he can help you make a great choice.

ViperTony that answers quite a bit. I have had 3 systems on my SRT. In my opinion the best so far is the Mopar race exhaust. 3" w/o cats. A friend of mine has the same setup but with Corsa cat back. It does sound good, no question about that. With a supercharger increasing the exhaust flow it really comes to life.
As to the drone or resonance, it only impacts me for long cruises with the cockpit closed. It hits at quite low rpms, so an 80 mph cruise in 6th. I do not go that slow (rpm or speed) very often. |

I have the Borla/Mopar Cat Back kit on my SRT with the secondary cats removed and I think it sounds really good, everywhere I go people says it sounds cool, when you get on it it's pretty loud.
