Here is an enhanced photo from a still camera, very interesting roof line and even rear deck on it eh?

Where do I get that roof kit for my Viper?

My plan is to sneak out late at night one of these nights, and give the track a go-round. I figure i might be able to get a couple laps in an sneak away into the night before the cops come....

What's the point of a huge wing when you "drift" at 50 mph?

I was thinking the same thing.

Cool vid. Those big 345's have to be a bear to break loose and then control.

Have to have the ricer "Look" to fit in at a drift event.

The wing I assume would be for higher speed on the back straights.

Here is a link to the full map: http://gplb.com/downloads/08lbcircuit.pdf

Also remember that this video is just the test day.

On race days, on the back straight heading into turn 1, I would think speeds of 150-200mph would be feasible.

Aha. I had no idea that drifting involved an actual race. I was under the misimpression that it was a judged event.

It could be, there's like 6 different race events using the track beginning next week, so who knows exactly how they'll conduct each one.

Strange that not all the details of all the races are at the website Welcome To 2008 Toyota Grand Prix Long Beach

The core race is of course the 'indy cars' and that's just going to be madness. They had one or two doing laps and it was loud as hell. It's gonna be sick when the whole field of them go screaming by, and crash in a pile up in Turn 9 right in front of me!!

By the way Turn 9 is the first turn you see in the video, where the camera is partially obscured by the balcony.
