whats oil eng oil capacity for 08?
going to do an oil,filter change this week on my ssg .whats the oil capacity and do you recomend an additional 1 qt of oil more than the factory requires the reason i say about the additional 1 qt on my 06 10 didnt show full 11 did.

I would get all over your dealer...90K for a car and you don't even get an owners manual?

The oil capacity is 11 liters.... my 08 manual actually says 10 BUT the there is a separate yellow page which states that the manual has an error and that the capacity is 11 and the yellow page replaces the original

ooops quarts sorry...lol... not a lot of difference tho .... i liter = 1.057 quarts....

There's no benefit to having more oil than the factory recommended operating amount (assuming there's no misprint). In fact, there are potential adverse issues from adding an extra quart.

From the 2008 service manual:
11 quarts or 10.4 liters Mobil 1 0w40 or equivalent synthetic motor oil. /Rich

Bosch makes a oil filter for our 08's now. (Filtech part # 3410) Its less than half the cost of the stock filter but weighs only 11oz and has 3 internal mounting threads. The factory filter is weighs 15 oz and has 5 internal threads.... the sides seem stronger also. ____________________ 08 GTS Viper Blue Coupe 05 SRT-10 Ram |
