Default The 08 ACR Is A Bargain Compared To This

Well the Chevy dealers got there allocations of ZR1's for 09 and only 300 chevy dealers will get the ZR1's. Early pricing is $50-100K over MSRP, I figure the big ADM will hold for at least the first year. Considering the price on the ZR1's it makes the ACR a Huge bargain at MSRP.

Especially as there will probably only be 100 or so ACRS.

Yeah, but that clear hood on the ZR1 is so cool cuz it lets you see the sparks and lights when you push it across the floor ...definitely the most popular car among those age 7 and under...

pretty sad. that means someone is spending $150,000 to $200,000 for a car that most people on the road wont see anything other than a "corvette".

. . . . . of course this is assuming anyone is even looking at all.

I am fan of the Vette but the price markup is a joke and even at the same price the ACR is the superior car IMO in looks and probably performance as well when its all said and done. When I ordered my ACR I didn't even consider the ZR1 as an option because to me the Z06 is the real all around Vette and just about the best bargin out there.

I had a deposit on a ZR1. The dealer called and offered it for 150K, I turned this down. I was told he is selling a lot at 150k. This pricing has made me appreciate the 08 Viper more.

I agree that the ZR1 didn't come out as much as a race car as I expected.

I have been told maybe 100 to 150 THIS year, and total allocation is sold out. Maybe Bill P. will chime in. The car is of course available as an 09, but as I understand it 08 production will run pretty far into the fall thereby giving a late start to 09 again so maybe only 150 next year.
Make yours red.

Why so few? It seems there is pretty good demand for the ACR. Maybe not? IMO the ACR is the only Viper that should be built, hardcore of course.

I have no idea, maybe the aero parts are not available in abundance. The wait was certainly long enough. I was in I status for almost two months before it went to prefix for the aero and stripes. then it went KZ and came off the truck at Woodhouse the next day. You have a PM.

$150K??? Holy crap. What a rip-off. Even if you decided to upgrade the exhaust and headers on the '08 you'd still be way ahead in savings not to mention that you'll have an exclusive, bad-ass Viper. It'll be that more gratifying when you park the ACR next to a ZR1 and watch everyone crowd around the ACR.
