Default 150 Shot Safe on stock Motor?

im thinking of doing a nitrous set up on my pretty much stock SRT10. i dont want anything crazy. just enough to play around on the street. is a 150 shot safe on a NA stock motor? also i would like the bottle by my seat or pass seat. does anyone have a set up like that to show me?

I think Hp you would be ok but Tq. might get you. Should be safe since its not for extended periods of time but might want to upgrade your half shafts. The 150 shot might put you around 750 tq bhp if your rwhp is 569.

A 'small bottle under the seat' might last 5 seconds.......

I would think 100 shot would be safer but some of the guys running 100-150 shot will chime in. Again, I dont think you will have a problem running a 150 shot as long as your not over doing it (using it every other night type of thing and you upgrade your half shafts).

I think you have been watching too much Fast & The Furious and you want to be Vin Diesel! I am pretty sure he flips up the passenger seat to reveal two small bottles.

Just wait a month, buy an 08 hood and the new Gen 3 Roe blower.

I ran 200 shots on numerous Gen 3's. Mine was the nitrous/propane set-up. No problem whatsoever. Would think 150 is super safe, as long as you tune the a/f properly.

I ran a 200 shot on mine for a bit. Bumping it down to a 150. There are some guys that run a 200 shot with no problems, and some that end up having problems. At that level you are rolling the dice. That is an expensive motor to roll the dice with. Look on the post I made about running Nitrous and you will see the dyno graph I made. that TQ comes on hard and instant which is not good for alot of components. I plan to run a 150 with dual bottles once I get home and enjoy the Viper.

Get the NX Nitrous Gemini Kit which comes with all that you need for a good quality Nitrous setup. You canat go wrong with NX. I will be updating the forum when my Nitrous install setup is completed correctly this time with a plate, dual bottle openers, dual bottle warmers, purge, etc. Its going to be killer.

D, without a doubt, you need to call dave of nitro daves. this guy helped me so much with my install i cant begin to tell ya. and he has EVERYTHING you possibly need. unless dave says different, go with NX (nitrous express)

Nitrous Outlet, Complete Nitrous Kits & Nitrous Accessories

its easy to install then ya just need to tune it which is easy too with a dyno and ken up at paddock can easily tune it. maybe even ask him to install it.
