Im 28 and have full coverage on the 2000 viper gts for $500 every 6 months. Thats with State Farm by the way. It really depends on where you are located as prices vary in different areas.

Shop around. Prices can really vary between companies. When I bought my Viper, I was quoted prices that varied between $1500 and $3500 per year. It's also very important that you have another (cheaper) vehicle which gets listed as your daily driver so that the Viper can be used for recreational (non-work) driving. That will reduce the rate. I'm over 50 and currently pay just under $90 a month to State Farm for full coverage on my Viper and Ram pickup. Transferring my homeowner's policy to State Farm also gave me a 10% multi-policy discount on my auto insurance.Text

I work for an insurance company. As you can see from the previously listed post's, your age, home location, driving record, home owner status and the other vehicles you insure, all have a dramatic affect on how much you will pay.

I forgot, the amount of the loan, if there is one, does have a factor since the lender needs to be covered.

I have seen as low as $550 (that would be a limited mileage policy) up to $4,000 per year. Finding out how much you will pay will not be determined here. Call an agent in your area.

Bill, now tell everyone the truth. The reason you have that low of a rate is your SID (Special Insurance Discount), or better known as DMD (Driving Miss Daisy)style!

I pay $375.00 every 6 months with state farm on a less than 7500 miles a year policy. That is with full coverage all year long, even in the winter months. I also have the multi-car discount, which probably saves me $150.00 a year off the premium.

I had to switch from State Farm to Progressive after one bad ticket sent my rates sky high with State Farm (Our long time State Farm rep suggested them). I pay 800$ per year for the Viper as a second car with 5000m per year, above average coverage. I am 36, married, in California. I may switch back to State Farm when it goes off my record next year.
