TheRaceSite.com discusses Mike Hartley\'s WCGT Viper program
For those who don't already know, Viper Days and SCCA ITE driver Mike Hartley is taking his skills and his '96 GTS to the next level - the SPEED World Challenge GT series. See the article at http://www.theracesite.com/index.cfm?pagetype=2&form_article=4649
There have been no Vipers in WCGT for two years as the series switched to Toyo street tires with a maximum 295 width. ViperSpeed Racing's Bobby Archer won the '99 WCGT Championship on 315 G-Force tires. This year, the switch to 335 (rear) Toyo's RA1's should help the Viper be competitive with the Audi S4's, the Porsche GT3 Cup cars, and the new M3's being fielded by PTG.
Good luck to Mike and his team!
