I had the hood open today and noticed some white powder by the headlights. I closed the hood and noticed that the hood hits the part of the headlight towards the middle of the car on both sides, and when the car is in motion it rubs. Needless to say I'm a little ticked off

. The snake just broke the 900 mile mark. Has anyone had this problem, is it a dealer item or easily corrected? I adjusted the little rubber stops but it's still not enough, if i turn these little stops too much then the hood will not close.
Thanks for you input.

I too had this problem, today as a matter-of-fact. Raise the latch mechanism by 1/8 - 1/4 inch on the side that is low. Watch how you close the hood while you adjust it. Good luck!

Or...you can adjust the headlight itself...that's what I did. Simply remove the foglamp, and the access plug in the fender. Then you can loosen the nuts that that retain the headlamp. It takes some effort, but I have swapped out headlights that way. Sure beats messing with hood alignment.
