First of all..the A/C will only blow cold air...no change can be made to the temp of teh A/C air. The heater air temp however, can be controlled to a degree. The knob on the dash goes straight (via a cable) to a valve on one of the heater hoses, over the underhood HVAC box. If indeed teh knob is turning the valve..I would agree that this is suspect. you will avhe to burp afterwards,,,but it's really no big deal.
