GEN i vs GEN ii CAMS

Does anyone know if the Gen I motor has a different firing order than the GEN II motor??? On that note I was specifically wondering if the cams were different. If so does anyone know how to tell if the cam is correct for the car. I have a 94 and I think I might have the wrong cam - I would hate to put my new engine together and discover it does not work properly.
