Visibility is somewhat compromised in RT vs GTS.
Cockpit is a bit more claustrophobic. The 2000 is much
quieter running than 1996..... esp at idle.

And what's wrong with a little noise? I kind of like the sound of my 96 R/T!

Not to disagree with the resident expert (and with all due respect to JonB), but IMHO, I it is hard to imagine that you will feel more claustrophobic in the roadster since most of us seldom (some virtually never) use the car with a top. When I made the choice, I found the fixed roof to most claustrophobic.

My 2 cents.

Congrats!!!!

Viva La Difference!

Personally, I've never felt a significant difference between the two (until you take off the top!), and I'm quite sure the windshield surround is identical.

Don't forget our NJ Winter Celebration January 12th at the Trap Rock! See you there!

Sweet Snake!!!!

Waaayyy too close to call. But I'm not claustrophobic so my opinion ain't worth much.

I've got a 99R/T blk.Had a 97 GTS.
Good weather cruising=R/T hands down.
High speed racing =GTS.less cockpit noise, smooth and solid.
High speed is very natural and comfortable in the GTS,I was lucky with the troopers, but like Vegas the odds run out.The R/T feels as fast at 20-30mph lower(open air factor).Be safe.
