Default Mobil Synthetic blend motor oil

Well I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and picked up a case (6 quarts) of 10W-30 oil and 3 more off the shelf to do an oil change. The case said "Synthetic Blend" on the outside of the box and the 3 quarts on the shelf said "Tri-Synthetic" so I figured hey its the same thing, just labeled differently. Blend meaning more than one, and Tri meaning 3 so they seem like the same oil, WRONG. After putting in all 9 quarts (8.5 actually) I started reading the bottles a little closer and soon realized that the "Synthetic Blend" is mixed with regular motor oil and not 100% synthetic It still was not clear on the back of the bottle "Mobil Drive clean blend is a premium blend of mobile synthetic technology and mobile drive clean oil to help your engine run cleaner and smoother"

I wonder how many others are buying this "Synthetic Blend" and are actually thinking its Mobil 1 Synthetic. I have been using Mobil 1 in all my cars for the past 10 years, and yet I fell for their deceptive marketing Now I need to go buy 9 more quarts of oil and do it again

BTW the case of 6 was $14.28 or $2.38 each and Mobile one was $3.93 I never bothered to check the price

Just look at the price if its at least $4.00 a quart or so then you are probably not buying syntethic.

I don't understand. So if it is $4.00 a quart it is NOT synthetic so that means it is regular oil?
