Now that the Viper Magazine is out with the explanation of how
the extra HP was achieved, does anyone know how to increase the
power from there with bolt on type mods?
The air filters may be able to be replaced with higher flowing
cartriges?

Headers?

Cat back exhaust?

Smooth Tube??

I would predict the beast could be pushed to 525-550hp with
bolt on mods, am I wrong?

2charmed,

It will take the same mods as are being made now, as a matter of fact every combustion engine ever made will respond the same to mods.

But, don't expect the SRT to respond to mods as well as the older vipers. The SRT has what is basically the same motor just modified from the factory to produce more power. These are the same types of mods tuners perform to extract more power out of the current vipers. Example increased displacement/Improved head flow&bigger valves/better intake manifold/better headers/etc.

Not saying that more power is not achievable by any means since 8.3 litters is still just plain insane, and can be made to make ALOOOOOOTTTTTT of power.

Now the bigger question is who is going to be the first to install SRT heads and intake on a Gen 2??? Common you know they are going to fit!!!.
