2001 Viper brakes and more

OK, the 2001 ABS system is awesome. What about retrofitting the 2001 ABS system onto Gen II cars? Anyone know the latest details on technical viability, availability, cost, etc.

As many of us have learned, the biasing and to some extent modulation issues associated with non-ABS cars are considerable. I'll bet DC could sell 5,000 retrofit kits if such parts were made available. Hey DC, are you listening?

Dan have you tested them against the older Vipers as to stop distance etc. That's where you road racers need the help get in further to the corner and kill them coming out.

Did you know that the GTS-Rs that ORECA raced at Le Mans all had ABS. It came as a surprise to me when I heard it but apparently consistency over a 24 hour period was more important than a pilot's finesse with brake modulation.
