I use Simple Green, then soapy water...just a mit, no brushes. Some use Pam (find in the kitchen).
To really clean wheels, take them off, clean back sides to prevent rundown, then Zaino the finished surfaces...from this point on, use Zaino Wash to clean...you'll see wheels gather MUCH LESS dust after a few coats of Zaino (and light scratches often disappear).
I need help too...with my brake dust! We don't have "PAM" in the UK (that actually means something else!) I have old dust spots baked on, I think it will have to be pollished out, as it's where the lacquer finsh has lifted, and it's stuck to the corroding aluminium. (I've tried loads of stuff, even "Mr Muscle Oven Cleaner", cringe!)
