HERE\'S HOW A HEMI VIPER GOES

For those that have not seen the race Hemi Viper for sale on the forum classifieds - here it is.

Bill Adams advises how the single carb Hemi goes "It has run 9.15 @
150 mph plus w/one four barrel no NOS. The engine is a
588 CI Hemi Indy Cylinder Head piece with a MOPAR
block, and a mild cam by drag race standards."

Viper and V10 are now part of each other - but this makes one realise how much potential there was had Chrysler used an all aluminum Hemi instead.

A crate Ray Barton EFI street sleeper 528 Hemi makes around 750hp - not bad for entry level. Anyone who has had the pleasure of driving or riding in a well sorted Hemi big block in a lightweight body will know the massive and addictive power that keeps going strong when other engines are well past their power band.

here's pics of the Hemi Viper - my first attempt to post a pic so hope it works

Hey thanks - how did you do that?

My links worked but I couldn't work out how to post the actual picture like you just did?

Left click and hold down button and drag cursor across properties until it is highlighted.
Right click properties while highlighted.
Left click copy.
Then while on this page typing your reply go to the Instant UBB Code box below and click on Image
Right click while cursor is in the addy bar and left click paste.
The left click OK

I hope I got that correct and you can understand it.

Hey, you didn't take the spaces out. LOL Had you, the pics would have shown here instead of the URL. So close, yet so far. *grin*

No spaces can exist between the "[image]" (and the text between) "[/image]"

Yee gads! My next post will be my Scary No-No Number Post! Oh what to do to avoid it? This post being number 665, if you don't get my meaning.

Hah-hah. Thanks. Too much. As you can see, I DID make it. I'm still here. *grin*

Okay, so hey, regarding this thread. That engine sure does look smart. Big and chunky, like it means some serious business. From the numbers, it sure does mean business!
I wonder why Chrysler didn't go with this most obvious of engines. Puzzling.
