The Viper with the red hood was John Dearing, and I was driving the Roush Mustang T/A.
was a great race.

Great video. Almost seems like a training video.

The only question I have: Why does the guy have tearoffs on his helmet?

You must be registered for see images

Are these required for competitive events? It seems he has a windshield.

Could it be perhaps for an oil leak inside the car?

That driver is Doug Hayashi, probably the most affable, helpful, track rat I've ever met. Zero attitude, but still runs fast. I don't know if I should be saying this, but the guys "bucks up", too. One of the original MicroSoft millionaires, software developer, and he has a parking garage under his house, with a stable of sports cars. Even with all that dough, he is still down to earth, and genuinely friendly to all sports car owners.

Great guy!

Luc, you going to Laguna Seca this weekend?

Luc, you were flying on the inside of Dearing going into turn 1. It looks like the brass b@lls made the trip from up north that weekend. Great race.
