Modified Gen1, exhaust sound (movie)

I like this sound, I think some of you also will like it...
The Vipers have Belanger headers, 3" pipes, no cats, Race Bullet mufflers.
The engine mods are Heads, Rockers and Camshaft, Stock TBOs and Computer.

That race was in Finland, the finals for the Nordic Dragracing Series, the last of 14 races all over Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

jp, what does exhaust like that cost to do from a bone stock '94???

Headers is $1795, 3" pipes, Dynomax mufflers + welding is about $100.
The sound is mostly a result of camshaft design.
I had the same headers and exhaust last year (no engine mods) the exhaust sound then was totally different (lame). As it is now (in the movie) is it almost impossible to drive in the street it's way to loud!

I am also investigating exhaust mods to my Gen 1 and think I will go High Flow cats + glasspacks.

that camshaft makes quite a difference. i know a few people running high-flow cats and it sounds great, but still never heard one in person with no cats. you did a nice job, thanks for the reply...

What type of cam?

Crower Billet Roller, hydraulic lifters, 0.585 lift (1:7), 116 lobe sep, 240+ Duration. It's a pure nitrous camshaft design.
