We had a great turnout, great weather and a great party. We also had some MIAs in the Mod 2 class. Cudaman made the trip from Fl, John Hennessy from TX, we had SnakeBite from MN. There was a tent overflowing with Vipers.

The racing was, how shall I say, wierd! The fastest car didn't win.
Fast ET was Cudaman with a 10.59 134MPH
Cudaman also got the Low ET on Pilots to win the PartsRack set of tires, 10.80.

Fast time for a stock Viper to win the Corsa Exhaust was the Gen 1 car of Dave Rauske with a 12.45. Seems the SRT 10 boys didn't want to get their cars dirty?

Winner of the Mod 2 Shootout was Jim Poma with a Hennessy 550.

Winner of the Bracket was Dave Rauske. Ran a 12.45 on a 12.45.

Pauls just missed his goal to run 10s with bolt-ons only. 11.03 @126MPH.

Low 60' was Jack Bene with a 1.45. ET was 10.77.

Clutches were the achilles heel of the event. [******] had problems with the ALL Motor SRT 10, Snakebite fried his. The traction was so good it drug the clutches on the launch and affected shifting down track.

It was disappointing that the MIAs didn't make the tow. For those who attended, I hope they will be ambassadors for next year's event.

My sincere apologies for not making the event. Circumstances beyond my control prevented me from coming. I was depressed all weekend. I talk to Ward and John H and both said it was a great time!

Glad everyone had a great time and see those attending in atlanta

Paul:

Lets give Dave Rauske some more credit, he did his consistent 12.45's in a stock 94 Gen1 and this was with 1.9 sec, 60's. All he needs is to launch a little harder and he will be in the low 12's.

Also a little correction, the 10.77 was with a poor sixty of 1.72. After the clutch was gone and not allowing the trans into third, the 1.45 sixty came.

There seemed to be alot of MIA's, based on the pre-event "smack" thread...wassup??? Chime in with a reasonable excuse for your absence...or we're just gonna start making stuff up!!! You may still be eligible to receive a billet frame for your dyno sheet!!!

My excuse (not that I had a Viper to bring) was the OSU football game ran late with the triple overtime. It would have been 6 0'clock by the time Buckeye Viper and I would have made it there. My brother had his soccer game Sunday, I was going to bring him, but didn't want to go without him.

Hopefully next year!
