i'm taking the viper to cecil county raceway in MD tomorrow and was wondering whether there was any tips or things to be careful of. i have heard of and seen these cars break half shafts. i will be on stock tires and no real mods. also if anyone in the area wants to come down and check it out, it starts at like 10am. it is a mustang club event, but there is always some cool stuff there. i'll also be racing the hayabusa(can't beat up the viper all day  )

Hey Rich see you finally made it on.

In a drag situation, grip is usually much more of a concern then half shafts. I've seen very few problems in unmodded cars. Plenty of posts on here about how to do a good launch... once you get that down, let er rip! I expect to see your timeslips with 11's on em. :)

I have the same mods as you - went once to Budds Creek, MD - my biggest problem was wheel hop - see best time for me below - did not have the air induction set up on car when I went

Good Luck!

Good job. I think some people need to ask you for advice. Those are good times first time out or 100 times out in a almost all stock RT/10.

I found a full tank of gas helps the grip when launching.

best time so far 12.362 @112.55 60' @ 1.882
