I was cleaning up the silver Viper to day and decided to swap the wheels with the red car. My wife says she likes the SSR's on "her" silver Viper better than the HRE's. What do you guys think?

I like the HRE's better, no matter which car they are on. However, the only person whose opinion matters here is the lady who drives the silver GTS.

Don't know a whole lot about rims(they are both nice wheels) but I kinda like the 6 spokes better myself....
The 5 spokes with the knurls or nuts or whatever which I assume are the HRE's look a little too busy for my taste.
Give the lady her SSR's....she's gonna win anyway!

Thanks for the input guys. I am going to leave the SSR's on her car, I like the HRE's for mine anyway.:)

Hey SW - have you weighed your SSRs?

Been thinking about a set myself (for one of the other cars)...from what I know they are very lightweight but I wanted to see just how little they did weigh in comparison to stockers and such.

I like the SSRs better on red. HREs on silver...and I usually never like chrome wheels on silver cars.

p.s.- I envy your decisions ;)

Thanks for the comments. Nexus-6, I have not weighed the SSR's, but I can tell they are alot lighter than the HRE's. The HRE's are nice wheels but they are heavy. On my C5, I lost 13rwh on my 20" HRE 547 vs the stock ZO6 wheels. whip383, the HREs are 19x13r/ 19x10f, the SSRs are 18x13r 18x11f.

SW, both look very good. I like the chrome look on both. SSR look nice, but I the the shine of chrome/polish sets off the rest of the car. :2tu:
Anyone try polishing the SSR? Or chrome?

whip383, I don't know, I haven't tested any other wheels on the Viper.
