There was alot of talk about this in the past...you could try a search.

I did mine in a two-tone red and Mopar rallye wheel silver.

You need to carefully mask it off, and spray several coats of primer. Then, go to the color. It's all in the prep...mask carefully.

It also helps to remove the panel from the car and paint it away from the car. It's hard to wrok with hanging upside-down.

I used regular spray can paint...I was concerned about heat and thought of an engine paint..but it has held up nicely.

I did mine 14 months and 5000 miles ago and it looks as good as new. Masking is key and taking your time. I did mine with standard spray paint spraying a white background first, then using a brush to paint the raised portions. I did this by spraying the paint into a small tray and painting from this. Lots and lots of coats as the pad will soak up a lot of the paint. I used my original liner which was 4 years old at the time.

MES's post this thread has some good instructions.

Superdavz,
If you want to do the job - great; but since you are going to order a new liner, I think you can order a new one from JonB at Parts Rack, PAINTED TO YOUR COLORS.

Nothing to do with this post but.....

I always see guys tell another guy to try a search. I've tried MANY times to do a search and I hardly EVER find what I'm looking for. It pulls up topics not even related to what I'm looking for. When I've done a search by Person/user name it pulls up users that in no way are even close to who I was looking for.

I guess I'm not smart enough to use the search option!

Superdavz - Are you done with the painting yet?
I for one am anxious to see you pics. :)
