With the gas cap off...there's a little rubber flap that used to stay snug against the hole..then gets pushed out of the way when the fuel nozzle goes in. It's just hanging there and doesn't come back flush with the opening when I'm done fueling. Is this normal or should it re-tract back up to close off the opening? Hope this makes sense...it's kind of hard to explain.

Just answered my own question by calling Bill and Nancy at Woodhouse..it supposedly is there to help deter someone from siphoning gas.? Nancy talked to Rick the Viper tech and he said it won't cause any problem with vapor lock and the gas shouldn't be able to come up inside the gas cap if I'm flying around a corner. The whole neck of the gas tube would have to be replaced. It's still covered under warranty, but I'm gonna let it slide for now until I get the urge to drive 2 1/2 hours up there to get it replaced. Is anybody else's doing the same thing?...just curious. :smirk:
